Wayanad Tourism Organization(WTO) as part of monsoon tourism promotion is introducing a new product – SPLASH 2009.The objective of this venture is to kindle the tourism activities of the district during the monsoons in a carnival like atmosphere.

 SPLASH 2009 was launched by Mr. Vinay Lutra – Managing Director of Karnataka State Tourism Development corporation at the Hotel Taj West End on the 17th of March 2009 with  the tourism fraternity of Bangalore and Kerala in attendance on the occasion of the road show conducted by   Kerala Tourism.

The program is for a 9 day period ( 3rd to 11th July). This would have both indoor and outdoor programs – to showcase the culture and arts of Wayanad to our guests.

The outdoor programs include – Rafting / paddy transplantation / crab tour / archery/ elephant ride / slush ploughing / slush food ball/volley ball /rain biking /etc to name a few.

Indoor cultural events would feature Kerala art forms like Kalari / Mohiniyattam / kathakali / Theyyam / and Rain songs that would be performed in the evenings.

There will be an award ceremony on all 9 days to recognize and honor persons who have made significant contributions in different spheres like literature, cinema, conservation, sports, agriculture, guide services etc.

The indoor arena will have stalls that would sell local artifacts / souvenirs / food stalls / and another activities that are centric to Wayanad.

The Wayanadan monsoon fest was promoted by WTO in all the major tourism and also at the road shows conducted by the Kerala Tourism.

2 Nights 3days package  – Rs.7900/-  which inclusive a Special SPLASH Ticket Worth Rs.1500/-  For a couple. Extra persons above 5 years will be charged Rs.1250/- per night.
1st day – Check in at 12pm. Lunch at the resort, evening cultural program at outdoor SPLASH venue followed by DJ and dinner .
2nd day - Breakfast at resort, then proceed to the outdoor SPLASH venue, packed executive lunch provided at the venue. Evening to SPLASH venue for cultural program followed by DJ and dinner .
3rd day - breakfast at resort and check out at 11am.
